When I looked around the boat, I evoked the examples presented in the guidance for this project, particularly the work of Tom Lovelace – the noticeboard bleached by the sun. Immediately I found a perfect candidate, a poster that has been blu tacked to the oven lid for a few years. I never remove it when I clean the stove, so I was positive that I was looking in the right place. I was not mistaken, as soon as I peeled off the picture, it exposed a range of drips, grime, imprints, and shapes. I was quite pleased with the outcomes of this discovery. Suddenly the absence of the affiche revealed a whole new world to explore. The history of the A4 space is ours to see.
The moral of the story is, perpetually look at what is beyond (figuratively and metaphorically), be curious, and be daring (yes, I got all of that from stained oven lid). There are no limits.
