Polaroid surprise

The expedition into embracing mistakes is going wonderfully. I think the polaroid photographs are the pinnacle of it. While cleaning up the boat, I found this forgotten Polaroid camera, still with the film in it. I had absolutely no idea whether it is working or not, let alone the age and condition of the film. I pointed it randomly at different objects around the boat. Two of them developed with no image, two with shapes of some sort, I am assuming as a result of the film being deficient.

I decided to put them all together in a layout on the wooden platform outside the boat, as I thought it might create a pleasing visual effect.
I took a few shots of different compositions experimenting and having fun with the images.

The conclusion of the summer project makes me more than happy and thrilled about the future as a student at University. I grew, let go of the ego, and became freer and more abstract within my photographic practice. I look where I was not looking before, and it truly opened my eyes to a world of possibilities. I can only imagine where future explorations will take me.
